Buying Anything Golf

It is that time again. The off-season is here, I conducted my yearly  inventory inspection and realized that I need a new sand wedge. My Titleist Vokey 56° sand wedge shows excessive wear on the grooves, therefore it is time to start my buying process.

Fixing Your Golf Clubs

Through the years I have owned 5 sets of golf clubs and double the number of specialty clubs. Over 40 years of play, I have only fixed 3 clubs. They were part of a full set of Ping Eye 2 Red Dot that belonged my father. He gave them to me at his passing and I still have and cherish them. Because of their value to me, I retired them many years back in the hopes of preserving them a little longer. Do You Really Need 14 Golf Clubs?

We all know that 14 clubs is the maximum anyone can carry during a round of golf. There is no limit on the minimum number of clubs, but 14 is max. There are reasons for only 14 clubs, however that would be a topic that would take us down the rabbit hole. Knowing how to distribute the type of clubs you carry is determined by your game.

When to Replace a Wedge

One of my most difficult decisions is when to replace one of my wedges. Of all my clubs, except my putter, my wedges are used the most. Mine are showing wear, but I am not sure it is time to try something new.
