Black Bear Ridge Golf Course

Today, I am playing Black Bear Ridge Golf Course! It is one of the best courses in the area and they have graciously opened their doors to 60 serving military members and we are grateful for their generosity.

I played Black Bear Ridge before and I am looking forward seeing if I can break 80 again! I plan to write a review about this fun course, but for now, here are a couple of pictures to peek your interest! Continue reading

Arthur’s Seat Edinburgh Scotland

In May of 2015, my wife and I travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland. We were there for only a few days and before anyone asks, I did not go golfing. We spent our time exploring Edinburgh and taking a walk through history.

On the first day, the sun was shining and the weather forecast suggested it was this day that was  best for climbing Arthur’s Seat. This 822 foot ‘hill’ was formed by an extinct volcano and could be climbed from several directions. Enjoying our walk, my wife and I missed the easy ascent path and ended up climbing to the summit of Arthur’s Seat via the vertical stair route. Although this route was more difficult, it really was not that big of a deal. However, we did take the easy route down. Continue reading

A Golf Pictures: Do They Make You Think

Do you enjoy looking at pictures of golf holes? I sure do! I enjoy looking at how beautiful the landscape shapes and accentuates the fun and difficult aspects of a golf hole. Additionally, I enjoy looking at pictures to figure out how to play the hole that matches my capabilities.

Crowbush Golf Course – PEI

Yesterday, I read an article from Mike at 36aday called My PEI Golf Course Rankings – Before and After. He talked about how he is knocking off 10 PEI courses in a week. Currently, I am on vacation in PEI and today I had the opportunity to stop at The Links at Crowbush Cove to take a few pictures. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to play this fantastic course, but I thought I would share the few pictures I could take in the 5 minutes I was there.

Mike, these are for you!
