Golfers play in different course conditions routinely throughout their season. Some days it is wet, cold, windy, dry, lush, and rock hard to name a few. As we try to conquer the varying conditions it is important to be able to hit different types of golf shots. Yes, this does mean we need to practice at the range to manage our swing movements. As I perused different topics to chat about, I found a tip by Mark Crossfield that was made for certain conditions, but in fact is a universal golf tip that all players should master. It will lower you scores and is applicable for all course conditions.

A Great Explanation On A Bump and Run Golf Shot
There are many videos describing how to hit a bump and run. With varying suggestions, the basic concept is the same. Try to get the ball running or rolling on the ground as quickly as possible. This is not a miracle shot, but one that every golfer should have in their bag in order to lower their golf score. I use this shot during every round of golf and it is my favourite shot around the green. As I go through the motions of hitting a bump and run, I try to keep the technique the same. Changing the club being used is how I vary the distances of the roll out. The process is relatively simple, but does need some practice.

Every player misses the green on approach shots. It does not matter if you are the world’s best golfer or an amateur who is hitting the links for your weekly loop around the course. Everyone will be chipping the ball in order to lower their golf score. There seems to be millions of ‘how to chip’ videos that involve many different styles in order to get our ball up and down. Likely some have value to your game considering your skill level, however I support the concept of knowing the concepts of basic chipping in order to lower our golf score. This process allows for an easy, repeatable chip that has proven results. It is a matter of understanding the process and making it your own.

This comes to no surprise for some, like myself, as we understand that playing golf as a single or a pair does not bode well for golf course profits. Knowing this, I am never surprised when I show up to a golf course and I am pair with strangers. It is the nature of golf and a situation that helps the course stay solvent. Regardless of the business model, is playing golf with strangers really a good idea?
