Remembering How To Golf
I am not sure if any of you have been forced to take time away from your game, but I experienced 4 months of force rest. During this period I tried to keep up with my game, but it was evident I was unsuccessful in my efforts. In my time back, I realized that I forgot how to play golf. During the 6 or 7 rounds I played, I had some good shots and many poor shots; but yesterday I seemed to grasp a fundamental lost in the back of my mind. Golf Tips From Magazines: Do They Really Work?
I subscribe to a major golf magazine and I am disappointed in the content. About half of the pages are advertisement (I understand the requirement) and about a quarter of what is left deals with topics, for the most part, I am not interested in. However, the last quarter of the magazine deals with tips and tricks on how to improve my golf game. I diligently read them, but find that are not very effective. Make the madness stop! It is crazy that in 0.63 seconds I have access to 58.7 million golf tips. Yup, that is right 58.7 million. The amount of information available on ‘the net’ is completely overwhelming and after the top 25 hits, the rest is just white noise. Knowing Which Is Your Dominant Eye
Golf is a game of fractions. A fraction of an inch here or there is difference between a good shot or a great shot. This minute distance is also the difference between a great shot and OMG, not again! Yes, the smallest of distances can have different results when swinging a golf club.
