What Tour Do You Watch to Improve Your Golf Game?

Watching golf is a great past time. Many viewers enjoy wait with anticipation for that one special shot that steals the day. Whether it is a hole in one, a booming drive, or a lucky bounce, it is those moments that captures the attention of many golf addicts.

For some, however, the watch golf on television to learn. They analyse the set up, club selection and swing plane of professionals in the hope of gleaning that one nugget of information that will improve their game. Personally, I am both of these viewers. Watching Golf on TV

It is cold and snowy outside. I plan on doing something in the crisp cool temperatures later, but right now while I am writing this article, I am also watching  golf on TV.

I am watching Hideki Matsuyama work his way around in the final round of the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions. It was interesting to watch Hideki and others make some amazing shots shot in the mid 60s for their final round. What was more interesting was the analysis by the Morning Drive crew on the Golf Channel. Continue reading

The Golden Nuggets of Golf

Life’s journey never ends! We have the ability to change so many aspects of our lives and all it takes is a decision to start. Personally, I believe this is the most difficult aspect of any first steps, yet the most important.

Deciding to change something golf related is no different. Whether you want to fix part of your swing, refocus on how to play your rounds, or make an impact within the golfing community it takes a decision to start a new journey. Regardless of what you are doing or where you a headed, making real change comes down to two very special ‘somethings’ that must be present or else your path down on that branch of your life’s journey is short-lived!

What’s in your golf bag?

Fixing any golf swing is difficult. Fixing your own swing without professional help is insanely challenging. Unfortunately, this is the path I chose to take this year because I did not want to take the time to practice something new given my life changes of retiring and moving. Well, unfortunately my decision caused frustration and disappointment in my game.

As many of you know I was fitted for Titleist AP2, 915 driver, 3-wood and 3-hybrid in June 2015. Since that time, I have struggled with my new driver to a point that I was ready to relegate this club to the no use again bag. So, I had to do something and surprisingly, the new path I choose worked!
