Keeping it Real on the Golf Course

It is challenging to play great golf! Some times it is extremely challenging to play anything resembling your game. Golf is the type of game that empowers or crushes a players dreams of being a consistent golfer. It is an amazing journey that requires attention to come to fruition.

I have talked about being a scratch golfer for years. I have diligently worked towards my goal and have shared my thoughts along the way. I am not detracted from my quest and will continue to strife forward. Fixing Your Golf Swing or Not!

Every player has a unique golf swing. It belongs to us and only us. It does not matter if we try to emulate Ben Hogan or Bobby Jones’ swing, our physical attributes ensure that when the club is in motion, it is one of a kind. Having said that, fixing ‘your golf swing’ is just as unique because any change must suited to your distinctive swing.

Yet, I ask you; when your golfing woes plague you (or at least you thing so) do you rush for a fix? Do you over think the possible challenges and grasp at any solution? Rely on What You Know

I hit thousands of golf shots every year. I wish I could say that every one of these shots was perfectly executed. Unfortunately, as everyone reading can attest, a percentage….in my case a very small percentage 😉 of these shots left me in less than desirable locations.

As a result, I had to invent or envision a shot I never practiced. This attempt at making a shot for the first time was challenging and sometimes very nerve-wracking. Changing My Ball Marker

I have used the same ball marker for years. It garners plenty of interest and creates a fair bit of conversation. There is nothing wrong with it, but I sometimes wonder if it is time for a change!

The Start of My Off-Season Routine

Yesterday was the start of my off-season fitness program. Each year, I outline my goals to become stronger and more flexible. This year is no different except for my approach.
