Golf is an endless ride on an emotional roller coaster. The trick is to enjoy the highlights and ignore the other part.
Next time you are out on the course, remember to breath, smile and enjoy your time the experience.

The Tale of Two Moons In Golf
The tale of two moons is a journey towards better golf! As my darling wife and I returned home from visiting our daughter and her husband, I was struck by the two moons we saw on our trip. It was hard to believe they were the same celestial body because of their diverse nature.
As we set out on our 1629 km (1012 Miles) drive, we saw the most beautiful orange moon! It had a majestic haze that seemed to emit hope to everyone. It filled the star speckled sky with radiance. It caught our attention and I mentioned it several times as we drove along the dark highways towards home.
Upon arriving at the end of our trip, I noticed the moon again. Although it was still an hour before sunset, the moon was shining brightly in the daytime sky. It was sharp and focused. It reminded me of a lighthouse; a beacon of clarity, shining for all to see. It was determined to outshine the sun and stay its course regardless of the challenges it faced.
These two moons are helping me shape my golf plan for 2015. Right now, my mind is full of hope, general ideas, and anticipation of what is to come. In the house of the first moon, I am molding my thoughts with no limitations. I am envisioning my goals and the positive aspects of 2015 on the links.
Transitioning towards the second moon will happen, but not until I have experienced all of what the first moon has to offer. In the second moon, I will focus on how to accomplish my goals. I will develop a clarity and single-mindedness that will drive my efforts in the same direction. Like the second moon, I will know what I have to do to succeed in golf this year and not be afraid to go for it.
This is the start of my new golfing season. Like other years, it is time to develop my goals, develop my plan, and execute my plan. As you can see through my tone, I am taking full responsibility and accountability for the success of my plan. I am, however, not shy to ask for support and advice from you the reader, other confidants, experts or even strangers. My view is: the more we talk and interact about golf, the more I learn. The more I learn, the better I play. The better I play, the more fun golf becomes. The more fun I have at golf, the more I talk…… I think you get the picture!
The tale of two moons is my first step towards an awesome 2015 golf season. I feel enthusiastic, inspired, and empowered to be successful. I am expecting a fantastic journey and look forward to sharing it with all who want to listen.

Thank You Golfing Bloggers!
Many golf bloggers have a small group of fellow fanatics they talk to regularly. I am no different. Daily, we share our thoughts and views about all aspects of golf. Sometimes the conversation leads to differences of opinion, but mostly we talk like sportsmen and I always leave with a positive vibe.
For the past two years, I have been fortunate to interact with people from New Zealand, U.K., USA, Canada, Ireland, and many other places. Golfers from 112 countries have graced my blog with comments, likes, and some were just looking. How cool is that!
Blogging about golf has helped me through some trying personal challenges, frustration about my golf game, and to keep a real perspective about what is really important! For those who are wondering, it goes in this order: family, health, friends, golf! Without the first three, golf is really not important to me at all.
The greatest rewards of having a golf blog is the connections I have made over the past two years. Some connections have faded, but are not forgotten. Routinely, I talk to my e-friends (because we have not met yet) about golfing news, tips, techniques, our ups and downs on the links and how to steadily improve our scores. Not surprisingly, all the great advice and encouragement has improved my golf game substantially! For that, I am grateful to my e-friends.
There are about 10 of you I talk to on a regular basis and you know who you are! To you and all the others who take the time to connect with me, I am grateful. Your perspective on golf and life is refreshing.
Thank you for all the advice, help and friendship! Because of our positive interaction, it is easy to be a grateful golfer!
The Joys of Golf
Well tomorrow I am heading to visit my friends in the UK. I anticipate that we will laugh, joke, tell stories and of course hit the links! Despite the obvious, my trip offers many things for which I am grateful. My gratitude is not limited to being able to play golf in 18 degree weather in November, but is much larger than that!
Introspection allows me to look deep inside and realize that many of my joys in life have been a result of playing golf! Golf has afforded me the opportunity to travel, meet extremely interesting people, strike up conversations with complete strangers and provide me a light when I had to crawl out of dark places in my life!
I would be foolish to think that golf is the most important thing in my life because that is just not true. My wife, daughter, son in law and health are by far most important to me, however golf provides an opportunity to experience other joys for which I am grateful.
As I prepare for my trip to see my friends, I am grateful for the opportunity share great times on and off the golf course. I am grateful for the opportunity to play golf in the UK. I am grateful for the experience of playing golf on my friends home course and meet many of the people he talks about. And I am grateful for the 2 strokes aside he will give me!
The joys of golf are unique to each person. Only you can decide what drives your passion to play! Regardless, being grateful and mindful of what is being offered to you everyday will open many doors to happiness on and off the course!
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
