My Golf Thought For Monday

Bryson DeChambeau won his 5th tournament of his career. He continues to push the boundaries of golf with success. Very inspiring.

John Wooden’s statement is very profound for me and as such, I plan to work on things I find difficult. Today is a great day to take the first step towards positive change. Baby steps mind you, but movement towards my goals nonetheless.

I hope you have an awesome Monday. Create the day you want!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to celebrate the many wonderful things in our lives. As people in Canada travel long distances to share in the festivities with family and friends, it is time to reflect and give thanks. Personally, I like Thanksgiving because of the friendships, joy and love expressed among best of friends, family, old acquaintances and people we are meeting for the first time.

By reflecting quietly, I realize how grateful I am for all those who have touched my life. Sometimes it is an encouraging word from a stranger, that unexpected phone call, or a random text from someone you are missing that reminds me of how truly blessed I am. Reaching out to those special people in our lives is a fantastic byproduct of Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a special day. I wish you and your family all the best on this day of thanks! And if all else fails, remember:

T’Was The Night Before Christmas

As the anticipation grows for Christmas Day, it is easy to become wrapped up in the craziness of the holiday season. It is a time for fun, laughter, and good times for many. Luckily, I am one because I have a blessed life and find Christmas time enjoyable and refreshing. I am grateful for all the amazing people in my 3 foot space!

This is a time for reflection and gratitude for the blessings in my life. Each year, I am amazed by my sense of happiness when I spend time with family and friends. Of course, this is not the same feeling for everyone and for those who are finding this time of year very difficult, I will be sending you positive thoughts in the hopes that it may bring some relief to your troubled times.

I realize that this is a golf blog and I intend on getting back to the main topic after Christmas. However, I choose the word grateful as part of the name for this blog to remind me that everyday, I create the day I want! And to do this, expressing gratitude is my first step.

I hope your day is full of fun and laughter. Remember that you still have one more day to be nice; if you are not, Santa just might leave you a lump of coal in your stocking instead of golf balls!

I am a grateful golfer! Enjoy your holidays!
