Getting Into The Swing Of Golf

Well, I have taken a quite a few days off from thinking and writing about golf. I have allowed myself time to recharge (still working on that) my golf batteries in order to set the stage for next season. There really is not much difficulty in refocusing on my game as my life is very simple. It is full of love, joy and gratefulness, however I do have time to devote to my passions. Being retired is great and my passions, such as golf, are allotted more time. How blessed am I? Having said that, getting into the swing of golf is all about setting myself up for success. Using A Jigger To Lower My Golf Score

Playing golf with my hickory sticks is always great fun. It is an exercise in control, nuance and frustration. What a wonderful ride! Northern Hickory Tour – Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort

The Northern Hickory Tour made its second stop in my area on Saturday past. The Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort hosted 11 golfers out to play with vintage golf clubs manufactured in the early 1900s. It was a fun time had by all because of uniqueness of the golf course and the friendships forged by all. Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort is a unique course because it fits perfectly for playing hickories as the distance played and the layout provide a historical nuance not felt on modern courses.

Northern Hickory Tour – Osprey Links

The Northern Hickory Tour made a stop at Osprey Links Golf Course on Friday past. It was a fantastic day with 20 players showing up to enjoy the great golf when playing hickory sticks. As in years past, Bill Vossen organized the Osprey Links leg of the Tour. He did a great job and everyone had a wonderful time. There was plenty of laughs, great shots, and friendships made. Not surprisingly, it was a huge success.
