Watching The Pros Hit Hickory Shaft Golf Clubs

My love of golf expanded last year. As you may know, I bought some hickory shafted golf clubs. I am about three weeks away from pulling them out of storage and I am excited! In the meantime, I thought I would share some other golfers having fun hitting vintage clubs.

I wish I was there with them, but my turn on my own course is coming. What do you think? Does it look like fun?

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!

Respecting The Game Of Golfers Of Old

If you have never tried using hickory shafted golf clubs, I highly recommend that you do. The modern swing may not fit exactly to maximize vintage equipment as Jordan Spieth found out. After an awesome discussion with Lorne Emery, President of the Golf Historical Society of Canada, he convinced me that looking backward might offer an easy way to lower our golf scores. As you might remember, I have recently decided to join the GHSC and venture down the road of hickory shaft golf clubs and I think I have found a new way to expand my game!

As winter plods along in the great white north, it is becoming more of a challenge to focus on my golf game. This happens every year about this time and I am fully prepared to accept the doldrums of the lack of golf. I know I am feel sorry for myself, but it is the time of year when my desire to play golf wanes. I do not mind practicing, however I love playing much more. I am not a traveler for golf, so I have a limited opportunity to reconnect with my game. So what is a golfer to do?
