Many of us struggle to consistently hit solid iron shots. It is not due to lack of effort, but more how we set up and ‘adjust’ our positioning in order to make that great iron shot. The challenge that most amateurs have is that we are self-defeating because our set up has put us behind the eight ball from the start. I am not suggesting that we are all making tons of mistakes all the time because that would be crazy talk. What I am suggesting is that minor tweaks to our set up may allow us to reach the promise land of solid, well-aimed, iron shots that ultimately lead to lower golf scores.
