Congratulations to Scottie Scheffler! The 2022 Masters Champion.

To no surprised, the world’s number one player has won his first Major! Scottie Scheffler played solid golf for the entire 72 holes with very few mistakes. Beating Rory McIlroy by three strokes (should have been 5), Scheffler has won four tournaments in six tries. He is burning up the PGA Tour right now and I wonder how long he can keep up his amazing play. That particular thought is a great topic for another day.

Which Player Shows Up At The Masters

It is Masters week! I am confident that if you have any interest in golf you have reserved your seat on the couch ready for the action. Even if you decide to travel out of the country during the Masters weekend, I am confident your are watching the leaderboard. The hype of The Masters is catching and my old home course of Osprey Links runs a Masters pool where we pick four players and try to accumulate points. It is something that I look forward too each year and this year I think I have the winning team.

Are You Ready For The Masters?

In just over a week, the first Major of the year will start. The Masters is my favourite Major because of the history to this event and the fact that it is set up the exact same way every year. Augusta National is an amazing course and I love the play around Amen Corner. The field will be the strongest to date this year and picking a winner will be virtually impossible. But, I think it is time to take a chance and play armchair quarterback.

Do You Trash Talk Playing Golf?

I am not 100% certain that golfers do much trash talking. I understand we do poke fun during a friendly, however I am not so sure that it is acceptable to taunt your opponent during a tournament. I can say without hesitation that it has never happened during any group I played in during competition. Having said that, there does seem to be instances where trash talking / taunting is all part of the show.

Second Guessing A Golf Shot

If you have golfed for any length of time, I am confident that you have second guessed one of your golf shots. We all do it and it is an important aspect of learning and improving our game. I have second guessed many decisions on the golf course and use many of my conclusions to build my future course management decisions. This process is a self-analytical method that helps my game; however, it is not at process I use to second guess another players actions.
