Many amateur golfers struggle hitting their ball out of the bunker. The nature of the sand and the position of the ball have a great deal to do with successfully extricating yourself from this hazard. I consider myself a slightly above average sand player because of my ability to get my ball on the green when required. I do struggle a bit with fairway bunkers, but that is a story for another day. Amazingly, the simple solutions of sand play can be found in the coolest of places. Imagine Masters Champions Tiger Woods and Scottie Scheffler offering a clinic on how to hit out of a sand trap. This information they provide would be invaluable to any golfer. Each has a different technique and use different clubs (routinely) to splash out of the sand, but both have some fundamental or core actions that lead to their success.
