Running A Match Play Event At The Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort

As in years past, I am running a fun, members only, stroke match play event at the Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort starting 9 August. This year’s event is free and the prize is bragging rights. Because I am new to the Mattawa course, I am a bit late getting things off the ground. We are only running a stroke event because it is no way to confirm the players handicaps. Regardless, it should be a fun time and the draw will be determined at random once I have gather all the names.

The Final Match Of The Osprey Links Stroke Match Play Championship

Bruce and I finally had a chance to play the final match of the Osprey Links Stroke Match Play Championship. After 4 previous matches, we both were ready to see who would be considered the Osprey Links Club Champion. We have played head to head before and it was a slug fest down to the last hole. I was confident that our match would follow the same format and hopefully the outcome would be different.

First Round Match Play Adventures

The Osprey Links Golf Course Stroke and Net Match Play Championships are well under way and the scores are starting to roll in. I have played two matches myself and had a great time during both rounds. I played one match on each the stroke and net side, but with different results. The score was secondary as I played golf with two great guys and I hope I have the opportunity to play another round with them this year.

Osprey Links Match Play Championships

It is that time again for the Osprey Links Stroke and Net Match Play Championships to start. This is the second time I volunteered to run these events on behalf of Osprey Links. I volunteered to be the chairperson of the 2021 Osprey Links Match Play Championships. Like two years past (last year we did not run this event due to COVID), I offered to help lighten the administrative load of the awesome Osprey Links staff by spearheading the member’s only Stroke and Net Match Play events. The winner of each event receives a parking spot adjacent to the clubhouse. In addition to the parking spots, each winner of a match wins a sleeve of balls from the golf course.
