Buying Old Second-Hand Golf Clubs

Recently, I have decided to buy some old golf clubs. They are not something I would take to the links, but they will fit my intended purpose. As you are aware, golf is a big part of my life. Because of that, many of my friends indulge my passion and from time to time will hit the range with me. Additionally, when they bring their kids for a visit, golf seems to be a topic of conversation. As such, I thought it would be a great idea to purchase something that the kids can hit without worry about damaging the clubs.

I have a bit of land and I had intended to set up a hitting net, but that project will have to wait until next year. However, I am prepared for anyone to visit that whats to hit a few balls. I have varying sizes of clubs to fit all who what to give it a try. Additionally, if the kids just want to hack around in the yard, I have a chipping net, plastic practice balls, and real golf balls for them to have fun with. I figure if I make it easy for them to try, they might decide one day to pick up the sport.

Additionally, I have 4 sets of clubs, 2 men and 2 women, (not including my own) for friends to borrow if we leave the confines of my yard and hit the range or course. These are of good quality and will do in a pinch. I have used them in the past and all I have to do is dust them off and we are good to go.

I figure it is worth the small investment to purchase hack around clubs. With next to no money invested in them if on breaks or they hit a rock, it does not matter. I figure this is my way of sharing my passion with those who are interested. There is no down side to this situation from my point of view.

Do you have extra clubs for your friends and family to try?

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!

  1. Yes I have a second set, not for me but more so my friends who sometimes forget their clubs. I also have a few extra wedges laying around, depending on the course I sometimes like to swap out a few and switch it around.
