It is the time of year where many families want to share the love with their golfer. The intent is always a good thing because they want to acknowledge their loved one’s passion. Of course this delving into gift giving can be a two edged sword because buying the gifts for golfers can be challenging. So, I am here to help. I looked at many videos about gift giving and decided on one. I will mention that the brand name is not important, but the gift idea is pretty good. I do not endorse any product, but have an idea on how to help at the end of the article.
Again, I am not sponsored or endorse any of the products. The video is for ideas for loved ones looking to give gifts to the golfer in their life.
So, now that you have ideas on what to buy, you can see that golf gifts are not the cheapest things in the world to purchase. There is one sure method that I fully support that will guarantee success in the gift giving department. Are you ready:
Make sure you ask the golfer exactly what they want. Do not guess! Take the ‘hope they like it’ out of the equation. This might sound like a fools errand, however it takes the pressure off of everyone involded. Ask the question and that you way everyone is happy at the end.
If you chose not to follow the ask route, I recommend you go into their golf bag, check out the brand of golf, tee, or golf ball they usually use and buy those. A gift card is also a good idea in my opinion. There is a better than not chance you will be successful in the gift giving department, but again it is not 100%.
Buying golfers gifts can be a challenge. As a life long golfer, I appreciate all the golf gifts my family has given me over the years. But to be fair, it would have been less stressful for everyone if the conversation the gift happened first.
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
Mine got here today and is charging as I type so I can use it tomorrow. No more pushing for me. I now have an electric cart to carry my bag.
No remote control for me. I’ve watched a few guys with those send bags into lakes and ditches. The one I bought is basic. A setting for speed and a button to make it stop or go. Simple.

So far, so good. A company called MGI makes the one I bought.
Their base model, the X1 retails for 699.00 US but they have another website listed near the bottom of the menu on their main site where they sell floor models, demos and refurbished units. I bought mine there (a floor model) for less than half price which it turns out is just 30 dollars more than the retail value of a new push cart like the old one I’ve had for years.
So I decided it was a no brainer. Today kind of proved it. I walked 27 holes and came off thinking I could walk 27 more before I’d feel as tired as pushing a cart 18.
I don’t mind not having the remote control function of the way more expensive units. I don’t mind not having a swivel front wheel. For me, this is about perfect. The only thing I might change is it comes with nine preset speeds and a reostat might be better because I find 4 a half step slow and five a half step fast for my preferred walking pace.
It seems less of a big deal than it might sound though. Walking with the group, 4 seemed to match pace with the guys really well. So I left it there unless I went my own direction and then I changed to five and let it pull me along. Lol
