I knew the day was coming where golf courses would start to implement a tax on golfers. I was surprised to hear this, but it makes sense. Knowing how important it is for golfers to be personally involved in protecting our playing area. Let me know what you think?
This policy is being implemented Seguin Valley Golf Club in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada. It is a unique approach to protecting the golf course.

New Policy Alert: Environmental Fee for Lost Golf Balls! ![]()
![]()
Starting today, in our commitment to sustainability, we’re implementing a $1 Environmental Fee for every lost golf ball during your round. But don’t worry—for every ball you find and turn in, you’ll receive a $1 credit!

This initiative helps us keep the course clean, protect wildlife, and encourage responsible play. Who knows, you might even leave the course with more money than you started with!
Let us know what you think in the comments… oh, and by the way—Happy April Fools’ Day!
No fees here, just a good laugh. But seriously, let’s all do our part to keep the course beautiful! ![]()

I know this is a day late, but I read this and had a laugh. So, I thought you would be grateful for a laugh as well. Can you imagine trying to implement something like this….. 🙂
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
Well played Jim 🙂
