Owning Your Golf Shot

Owning our golf shot is one of the most difficult aspects of playing. We keep score and because of this do not always take ownership of our score. Golfers will forever blame as many outside influences to their poor luck as possible. I have done this in the past, but rarely do I do now; I generally react to a poor result with some frustration, but do not blame anyone but myself. Of course, I do not mind pointing fingers at my playing partners from time to time, but that is for fun than anything else. πŸ™‚

Playing A Low Hook at Osprey Links Golf Course

Learning to play a low hook was something I never thought I would ever have need. Well, as it turns out this specialty shot is one that I use more than any other. Primarily because of the 10th hole at Osprey Links Golf Course. The season of golf tournaments is closely at hand. Regardless of which course you play, the deluge of tournaments is about to hit your local area. They take up tee times and sometimes directly affect your ability to play at your favourite time. I have made my peace with this dance and actually embrace the tournaments by participating in them as much as possible. For the most part, I find them fun, entertaining, and challenging all at the same time. However, I do have a favourite and intentionally seek this format out above all others.

Open Or Closed Putting Stance

I cannot count the number of references (maybe using reference is overly kind) that offer the key to great putting. There is no aspects of the putting stroke that has not been analyzed. I created my own 5 part putting series, but that was more a ‘world according to’ than a definitive bible on how to putt. One of the the aspects of putting that is often overlooked is the position of our feet. How we stand drives so many aspects of our putting stroke and yet……
