Tiger Makes His Pick For The Presidents Cup

I think it is only fair that I cover the Team USA final picks for the upcoming President’s Cup. I talked about Ernie Els Canadian pick, but this brilliant move is overshadowed in the media by Tiger Woods’ pick of himself! Yup, he will be a playing captain. This move is not unprecedented as he will join Hale Irwin (1994) as the only playing captains in the competition’s history. So, I wonder if this is a good choice?

Fitness Drives Performance

Similar to every year at this time, I am rededicating my efforts to become healthy and fit to improve my golf game. This is a traditional off-season approach to avoid becoming fluffy over the next 6 months. As I researched different possibilities to achieve my goals, I noticed that many sites claim “fitness and performance” as services they deliver. Looking a bit deeper I noticed that their views on performance were predicated on being fit. Therefore, instead of using ‘and’, I recommend many sites use the word ‘drives’ because it is a more realistic approach to improving our golf game.

Play Golf With Better Players

As an amateur athlete in multiple sports, I always aspired to play my best. Of course that did not always happen, but for the most part I can look back and confidently say that I rarely left anything on the playing field. This desire was driven from an innate drive always want to improve. My golf game is no better and I enjoy seeking new and better methods to lower my golf score. Tiger Woods – Still a Superstar?

First, congratulations to Tiger Woods for matching Sam Snead’s 82 professional win record. It was a fantastic accomplishment that many players expected (or at least hoped) he would match before he hung up the sticks. Given his resurgence to the top of the leaderboard, he will likely exceed this feat in the next year or two. However, I was wondering if his continued winning ways garners the status as Superstar as it once did? Does Tiger Woods outshine the young stars or professional golf?
