Final Round of Golf At Roundel Glen

Recently, I retired from 32+ years of active full-time service in the Royal Canadian Air Force. My career was exciting and, looking back, went by very quickly. On that note, my wife and I have decided to move to North Bay to be near family and to embark on a new journey. With this in mind, on Wednesday past, I played my last official round as a member at Roundel Glen Golf Course.

After 3 years of great golf, I was invited to play my final round with my friend Mac. With time on my hands, we teed it up in the middle of the morning (because I had time). As we approached the first tee, we were joined by the Club Pro, Jay Masters, and a single named Gord. After shaking hands and quick intros, it was time to play some golf!

The Callaway Chrome Soft – First Thoughts

20160622_093929

Thanks Golf Canada and Callaway for the great gift.

Thank you Golf Canada and Callaway for the great gift I received in the mail. A sleeve of The Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft Golf Ball with Truvis Technology were a pleasant surprise. At first I was not sure about the Truvis pattern, but I changed my mind when I saw Tom Watson use one during The Masters. Time is Not on My Side

Today, I am jammed for time, so I thought I would say hello and hope everyone is having an awesome day!

Also, I wanted to leave you with one thought:

Gratitude and Golf

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!

Golf or Not to Golf – Really?

Golf or not to golf is not really a question most avid players need to answer. A raised eyebrow or puzzled look is really all that is required to send the appropriate message. However, there are times in the season when I have to ask myself whether to hit the links or not.

This question is usually driven by two possible influences: live events and over golfing! The first is a no brainer and I to make a list of life events that would prevent me from golfing is a waste of your time! However, over golfing is a real concern for most avid players. Being able to identify the symptoms is the real key to preventing your game from going stale. Continue reading →
