Taking Golf All In Stride

When and where is the tipping point in our golf game? You know, that point where all our hard work pays off and we can move on to improving / acquiring a different skill. It is like walking up stairs and each step is a new skill. Our game plateaus for a time until we decide to focus our improvement on a different skill. I guess this is true for all learned skills, but more prevalent in golf.

I am Out of The Club Championship

My second chance at winning the Club Championship is officially over. I played my second match on Friday and for the second time lost in the home stretch. As you may remember, Osprey Links runs stroke and net Match Play tournaments to determine the club champion and to award a parking spot. Unfortunately, I could not close the deal and I will have to wait until next year to throw my hat into the ring again.

Lost – One Short Game – If Found Please Return

Over the past 10 or 15 rounds, I found that my approach shots from 60 to 5 yards from the green are well below my expectations. Of course every golfer wants to have tap in shots, but goodness, my short game is struggling. Do not get me wrong, I make the odd shot that is very good, but my average results is a good 10 to 15 feet farther away than normal and I find this very frustrating!

Tee It Up For Mattawa Healthcare 2019

Tee It Up for Mattawa Healthcare” charity golf tournament is on 21 August 2019. It starts on Tuesday, 20 August 2019, with a practice round at Mattawa Golf & Ski Resort. I played in 2017 and missed last year because of health issues, but this is a great event and must attend on my tournament schedule each year.
