Taking Aim On A Par Three

Many golfers struggle with where to aim on a par three. I am not talking about the 200 yard monster that challenges many aspects of our game, but 135 yard hole that is in the wheel house of most golfers. For my game, this distance is a smooth 9 iron. Given the shorter distance, one would think that hitting the ball close would be a no brainer. However, more often than not, golfers tend to miss the green or leave themselves a very long putt. I often wondered about this and I think I have the answer.

The Possibilities Of Club Selection Around The Green

Have you ever wondered why so many professionals spend time selecting the right club for every shot? As an amateur, I watch in amazement as the caddie and player talk about all the outside influences that may affect the next shot. Since I do not have a caddie, ever, this conversation is between the voices in my head as I loop the course. Do You Have A ‘Go To’ Golf Club?

I carry 14 golf clubs. I use everyone over the course a couple rounds and do not shy away for any of them. If I did not use one because I had zero confidence in it, I would take it out of my bag. I have developed plans in the past with great success, but I am not sure I want to commit the time I need to lower my handicap to a point to make this upcoming season a success. As always, I am still working out the details, but not to worry you will be reading about my plans in the upcoming weeks. For now, I have to set the stage to open the flood gates to my game in order have a fantastic 2023 season!

What Prompts Players To Change Their Golf Swing

Have you ever wondered why golfers want to change their golf swing during a round? I realized that most amateurs understand that shooting a low score is always the goal, however I often wonder if they really understand the process of improving in golf. Or maybe I am the one that is too rigid in my thinking where my processes are not appealing or possible for the average player. Regardless, my journey to low golf scores can be boiled down to one factor that affects every golfer (or athlete) who have an inkling about improving their athletic abilities. It is so universal, that it is often overlooked by coaches and players. It is the one factor we all want more of ….. Time!
