What are the chances that you will lose 10 yards of distance overnight? It happened to me and I have to tell you that I am very disappointed. The loss of that much changes the way I need to play each round to ensure I can still score well. This happens every year and each time I am disappointed that I did not see it coming.

The Last Men’s Night of 2020
It is finally here, yesterday I played in the last Men’s Night of the year. It was a wet (big surprise) and cool, but loads of fun. We played rotating tees where we cycled through blue, white and gold tees. It was the first time played this format and we had a blast. Overall, last nights game was a good way to finish playing Men’s Night at Osprey Links.

Every golfer has a weak point in their game. If you asked, I am sure many would have several…..I know I do. This being the case, we develop other skills to protect against our weaknesses and hopefully are smart enough to manage our golf shots protect our overall golf score. Unfortunately there are days when no matter what we do or how which plan we use that day, nothing seems to help. That is when the chink in our golf armour really shines through like a beacon of light in a dark room.

If you play golf a little more than occasionally, you probably developed the habit of being dissatisfied with your golf score. Before you say that this is not true and start a list of why I am out in left field, think of your last game. Now, thing about how many strokes you left on the course that could have easily lowered your score. Now, think about how many times have you played this exact scenario on your head walking off the 18 green or having a libation in the clubhouse. Kind of makes you think……right?

The weather is not cooperating at all and it makes we wonder if golf season is over. It is that time of year where rain is in the forecast every second day; this creates challenges to getting out on the links.
