For the past month I have used my DIY chipping mat in my basement. I thought I would get a jump start on my short game practice time this year and I find it very beneficial. I try to hit 100 balls a day, but sometimes that is a challenge. My repetitive practice has allowed me to identify some of chipping woes I developed last year and engineer a solution. Thoughts on the Eye Line Putting Aide
For Christmas I asked for two golf training aids. The first one I want to talk about is the Eye Line putting aide. I waited until now before writing about this training aide because I wanted to use it a few times before making any comments. It is designed to align all your body parts and reinforce a straight putting stroke. So, in my stocking it went. Continue reading
Tossing the Ball on the Green
Putting and chipping are very personal skills in golf. I do not think any two players think, scrutinize or execute these shots in the same way. The Grateful Golfer 2017 Golf Plan
My 2017 golf plan is ready and I think it will move much closer to my goal of being a scratch golfer. Unlike last year, I will have specific milestones to reach and timelines in ensure I stay focused throughout the year.
I am planning to use the same process as previous years because it works very well for my game. It is not complicated and helps me identify the areas I need/want to improve. Except, I am going to take it a step further. I found out last year that but not having quantifiable goals, I did not maximize the golfing opportunities. This year this is all going to change.
