As the anticipation grows for Christmas Day, it is easy to become wrapped up in the excitement of the holiday season. After the crazy few years we recently endured, it is now time to find the fun, laughter, and good times again. Every year I try to reflect and express gratitude for all the amazing people in my 3 foot space and this year will be no different.
Continue readingI love the Christmas season. It is a little quieter this year, but it does not quell my joy of the holiday season. The winter wonderland, the sharing of happiness and joy, and spending time with the special people in my life. Although there is no golf, I will take the time to enjoy some outdoor activities, visiting, and being grateful. For me, it is also the time to give back to the community and to share some of my good fortune by donating to charities, the food bank, and just smiling at those I might encounter. The spirit of Christmas is all around us and I for one am happy to embrace it.
As part of my holiday traditions, I watch the Little Drummer Boy and post it on my golf blog. It does not seem like much, but this video is one of my all time favorites and I like to share its joy with you the readers!

The Christmas season is a special time and I hope you take the opportunity to take the time and enjoy your family and friends. Although golf is on the back burner, I still am trying to figure out a way to keep swinging. I have a plan now and expect to execute it very soon. This was a bit of a repost from previous years with a few minor changes; but worth the look.

Over the weekend, I was given the opportunity to receive two sets of left handed junior clubs. My wife was looking a local Facebook group and a generous person was giving away the clubs. I jumped on the opportunity because I am planning organize a local junior day or camp in 2023. The challenge is finding a good practice area that will allow for all aspects of learning, but that is a challenge for another day. For now, I am so grateful that the previous owner graciously offered up the clubs because it helps to flush out my other clubs have in my inventory.
The left handed junior sets are kind of rare. When I was offered the two sets….for free….I jumped at the chance to add them to my collection. I am looking forward to using them this summer. Hopefully, I can set something else.
How lucky am I that someone offered to give me two sets of clubs so I can pay it forward. It is important that I share my good fortune by trying to introduce golf to some young athletes. Who knows, there might be a grateful golfer in the group.
With the holiday season upon us, I am grateful for the new to me clubs and look forward to using them this summer.
