Happy Canada Day in 2025

The first of July is special to all Canadians because it is Canada’s Birthday.

Every year Canadians gather and celebrate this amazing country. Family and friends look forward to sharing some great food, drink and laughs. It is a time for community gathers and sharing the joys of living in Canada!

Happy Canada Day

Canada is 158 years young! As a Canadian, I have so much to be grateful for; I believe that Canada offers more to its citizens than any country in the world. We are not the biggest, richest, nor most influential, but in my opinion, we are the best! After spending 36 years of my life protecting this great country, I still marvel at its majestic and pristine beauty.

Happy Canada Day!

I am a grateful Canadian!

Playing A Great Round Of Golf With Friends

Golf is great sport that provides the opportunity for friends to enjoy spend time together. Blair and Fernando are guys I play with regularly and always enjoy their company whenever we tee it up. So, what made yesterday so special? Well, a couple of things.

During my last round of golf I had two situations worth mentioning because they demonstrate the highs and lows of my round. There were a few other shots that made me think, but for the most part these two stood out the most as I shot three over par 77. There are some teaching points here and they are worth sharing.

Working On Your Golf Game

Earlier in the week I posted about taking stats on my next round of golf. Although one round does not provide enough data to make any solid decisions on where I need to practice, the one round I played did provide some possible focus as to where I need work. With such a short season, it is a challenge to be patience with such a short golf season, but I do know that everything takes time. With a small sample set, this is where I realize I need the most work.

Finally Playing Regular Golf

As most of you know, I started my golf season with a round of hickory sticks at the World Hickory Golf Day in Cambridge. The Golf Historical Society of Canada hosted and its an annual event that marks the start of my golf season. Well, fast forward it to Monday past and I teed it up on the links with my friend Jack. We did a quick nine holes (temperature was 29° C or 84°F) and it was a great start to what I hope to be an awesome season. I hit some good, poor and great shots. Let me explain.
