Spending Time at The Golf Course

Anyone working through an injury understands my frustration with not spending any time on the golf course. As I work through my medical issues, I often find myself playing a round of golf in my head. Surprisingly, I never miss a shot, but lip out a few putts (haha). Well yesterday, I decided to drop by Osprey Links and meet up with my friends looping the course. Continue reading

My Worst Swing and Best Shot in a Golf Tournament!

I have made some ugly shots over the years. I do not ever remember missing the ball, but whatever is next on the rug of poor shots, I was there. However, I can say that none of those really compare to what I consider my worst shot ever in a golf tournament. To describe the setting, I have to set the clock back about 30 years to a military regional competition I played in Kingston. To this day, I am still embarrassed that I played such an ugly shot. Have an Awesome Thursday!

I choose to be happy even though life throws me curve balls from time to time. It helps me stay motivated to meet all challenges.

Keeping that in mind, I want to wish you an awesome Thursday. My message is just that simple.

Ospery Links Golf Course – 11th hole – 211 yard par 3.

If you are hitting the links today, stop back and tell me how things went. I enjoy hearing about golf adventures to help pass my time until I am back out there!

Also, I want to offer my best wishes to my friends playing at the Ontario Military Golf Regionals in Kingston today. Play well fellas, I wish I was with you!

I am a grateful golfer! Se you on the links!

Happy Canada Day!

The first of July is special to all Canadians.

Its Canada’s birthday.

Canada is 151 years young! As a Canadian, I have so much to be grateful for; I believe that Canada offers more to its citizens than any country in the world. We are not the biggest, richest, nor most influential, but in my opinion, we are the best! After spending 35 years of my life protecting this great country, I still marvel at its majestic and pristine beauty.

Happy Canada Day!

I am a grateful Canadian!

Active Support On and Off The Golf Course

To date, all the tests indicate that I am once again beating back the beast and will be heading to the links sometime in the future. Of course, it is way too early to jump to conclusions, but any positive sign gives me hope. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned to date, and what is important for people to understand, is that active support for the person and their family is as valuable as any positive test result. Let me explain. Continue reading
