Do Golfers Really Try Golf Tips

I often wonder if most golfers try the golf tips that come across their path on a routine basis. At the Grateful Golfer, I take a great deal of time to offer different tips that might spark their interest. As a beginner, I tried many different tips / drills that were either too complicated for my skill level or did not fit into my exact requirements. Even to this day, I try some of the different drills I come across and try to see if they fit my game or not. Enough about my journey, I wonder if most golfers actually use or try different golf tips to improve their game.

Dual Purpose Putting Tip

As I was perusing my video feeds, I found one that caught my interest. This putting tip, as laid out, is a good one. As I watched it, I found that this drill has other applications which I think as equal or more value. It is a simple, easy, repeatable and provides instant feedback (my must haves for any golf tip). I have used something similar in the past, but this composition offers more options.

How to Quickly and Easily Fix Your Slice

During my early years of golf, I played with a terrible slice. I would aim left of the fairway into the woods with the hope that my ball would shape back into the middle of the short grass. At that time, I adjusted my aim instead of taking the time to fix my terrible flight path. The worst part of my dilemma was I thought that aiming way left was the best way for play golf and as you can imagine, it only compounded my woes. Fast forward many years and I do not slice the ball very often (rarely in fact), but my path to where I currently play was painful and frustrating. I wish I had found Rick Sheils fix 30 years ago!

A Golfing Philosophy That Works

Finding a golfing philosophy that works is a challenging venture. There are only a million different views on how to improve our golf game that I often become overwhelmed by the deluge of possibilities. Through my many years of playing, I have changed tack many times, but there was one core tenet that I kept with unwavering consistency. Probably by accident in the early years, but by design now, my focus on trying to improve one specific item in my golf game has never changed. This simple step has shaped and molded my game into what it is today. With the 2022 golf season a mere six months away, it is time to design my intended golf path for next summer.

What Is Your Biggest Golf Mistake

If you ever analyzed your golf game, I am confident that you could find several areas of success with an equal amount of areas for improvement. This is the natural order of things even at the professional level. I am equally confident that each player understands that they have on area (known or not) that would be consider their biggest mistake. I know I have one and to be fair, it has changed over the years as I addressed my shortcoming. However, there is one mistake that continues to follow me even today. I am aware of it, but somedays I cannot prevent it from rear its ugly head!
