Chipping With A Hybrid

There are many different techniques a golfer can use to chip around the green. I use a plethora of techniques to chip, but one I have not really mastered using a hybrid with which to chip. I have tried it many times, yet I cannot seem to find the right opportunity to us a hybrid. Maybe I am not thinking about it properly. Or maybe I have not practiced enough with a hybrid to feel comfortable enough to make it my club of choice.

Hitting Our Golf Clubs To Distance

During the past golf season, I found that I needed to rely on my club distances more than in the past. I am not sure why this was the case, but as I played different courses, I need to pay more attention to how far I was hitting each club. In some cases and to my total frustration, I was habitually short on approach shots. Usually, it was a full club and it took me some time to adjust to what seemed to be my hitting woes. Because I was not hitting my ball as expected, I started to pay more attention to club distances and came to an not to surprising conclusion.

Best Shot Of The Year

Have you ever taken the time to ponder about your golf season. As mine has ended, I like to take the time to think of the high points of my season and one great shot (actually several happened, but I had to choose) sticks in my mind. Many people will think of their longest drive or craziest putt as their best shot. Or they think about their luckiest shot as their best, however none of those qualify for my best shot of the year. Mine is rooted in intent and results that impacted on my score.

Driving The Ball Into The Wind

With fall in full bloom, the cool wind has a greater impact on the ball distance than during the summer. If we do not use the proper technique when hitting the ball into the wind, we can lose as much as 50 yards off our drive. That is truly frustration, but can be avoided. There is a saying that when it is breezy, swing easy. This simple statement is a challenge for most amateur golfers. For some reason, the inexperienced player things that hitting the ball harder will have better results into the wind when the opposite is true. There is a simple technique to achieve maximum distance into the wind, but it takes mental discipline to achieve it.

Golf Hacks for Playing Winter Golf

As every golfer knows, playing golf in the winter is challenging. Before we continue with the hacks, I want to clear up a slight misunderstanding regarding what winter golf actually means. Where I live, winter golf is actually fall golf because hitting the ball in snow is virtually impossible. Thus, when we use the word winter golf, it means cold, wet, and windy conditions. Okay, now that the definition of winter golf is cleared up, lets get back to how best to play golf in the winter.
