There is no correct way to celebrate a great golf shot. The definition of a great shot is unique as the celebration itself. I am not sure about you, but my level of celebration is directly correlated to how great the shot actually was and where the celebration takes place. Make no mistake, I do celebrate or at least acknowledge a great shot almost every time.

How do I know this, well I used google so it has to be completely true……right> 🙂 All joking aside, there are so many putting tips out there that I could not even describe the depth and berth of areas they cover. I have tried a bunch (number actually unknown) and some have helped. Others did not fit my putting game and had to be discarded. But, through all of my efforts to improve my short game I did find one putting tip that was a sure fire winner. It is something I always do and feel it is the primary reason for my success on the green.

This particular article has nothing to do with a friendly match. The reason I say this is that I do not pay any attention to any golfers game outside of a competition. I do follow all the happenings of the round, but I do not care what other golfers are doing with respect to what they record as a score. Every 365 days Groundhog Day rolls around. Today all golfers in the northern climes wait in anticipation for the weather prediction of rodents: Wiarton Willie and Punxsutawney Phil. The pressure exuded by golfers on these special creatures to predict an early spring is overwhelming. Each year as these loveable creatures climb out of their hole, millions of eyes are focused on their every move; if they see their shadow and scurry back home to safety, it means that golfers will have to wait an additional 6 weeks for winter to slowly become a distant memory.

Understanding the rules of golf is very important for all golfers. I studied the rules and feel that if wanted to be competitive golfer, I needed to know the ins and outs of the rule book. I feel that I understand the rules well and that I have saved many strokes because I knew the details and how to implement the rules. Regardless of how confident I felt, I still made mistakes that cost me a stroke or two. Fortunately, it did not cost me a match or a tournament.
