We continually hear of players hitting the ball ridiculously long. I am not talking about a few extra yards, but the pros hitting their ball hundreds of yards father most amateurs. It is impressive and disheartening at the same time to hear or watch their ball sail to the moon and back. I am not sure it is good for the game, but it is the way of the future. Continue reading
There are Weather Limits to Golf
As a golfer in northern climes, I think of myself as tough player who is willing to battle the elements at any time. I cannot think of any instance or weather pattern that I have avoided at one time or another. Of course as wet and below zero temperatures arrive, even I have limitations. However, looking at some of the Twitter feeds, I am not sure everyone got the memo! Continue reading

It makes sense because most amateurs have a low up and down percentage regardless of where they chip from. It is a stoke of luck all golfers want, but rarely achieve. I wonder why it is so difficult to achieve considering the thousands of balls I chip every year. Chipping in is not something I do on a regular basis; how about you? Continue reading
