Shooting 59 in Golf

Congratulations to Brandt Snedeker for shooting a 59 yesterday at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, NC. He is the ninth player in history to shoot a sub-sixty round and frankly I am surprised. I have always thought Brandt had a solid game and he is definitely a streaky player, however I did not think he had a 59 in his game. I guess, I was proven wrong again. Continue reading

CP Canadian Women’s Open

The CP Canadian Women’s Open starts in a week. This year’s national women’s championship is held at the Wascana Country Club in Regina, Saskatchewan. I have never played this particular course, but play several others in Saskatchewan. If the venue and field strength matches years past, it will be an exciting four days of golf. Continue reading

It Only Takes One Shot in Golf

It only takes one shot in golf to become a hero or a goat. If you have ever played in a tournament, you are probably aware of the risk making a poor shot. I sure have experienced the results of making poor shots during competition and yet, I continued to strive play better. I noticed that Tiger Woods and Brooks Koepka did this exact thing during the 100th PGA Championship on the weekend. The player that responded best to a poor shot was Brooks, hence he went on to rise the Wanamaker Trophy. Continue reading

Congratulations Brooks Koepka

With ice in his veins, Brooks Koepka fought back all challengers to win the 100th PGA Championship. Raising the Wanamaker Trophy was a thrill for eveyone who watch him hit booming drives and laser guide wedges on the back 9. Using his greatest asset, Koepka crushed long and accurated drives all day to grind down his fellow competitors. He was relentless and was rewarded. But, this was only part of the story during the last Major of 2018.
