Which Golf Shot Is the Most Important?

Walking around the course is a wonderful experience. I enjoy listening to nature and absorbing all the beauty it offers. As I hit shot after shot, it appears to me that I am playing a great round! It is not my lowest round ever, but it is a solid outing.

After about 7 holes of happiness, I start to think. This is never a good thing sometimes, however that is what I did. I hit the ball off the tee down the middle and my approach shot was spot on. Introspection of my 2016 Golf Season

Each year I take the time to analyze my previous season. It is important to see my highlights as well as my challenges in order to improve in the next year. I find that through introspection, I am able to create my off-season training plan and to prepare for the next years games.

Sometimes it is a challenging process that bruises my ego, however it is, nonetheless, important to my golf game of the future. Introspection helps me cut between the wheat and the chaff and focus on what really needs to be changed in my game.  Continue reading

Lowest Golf Score Ever!

What is your lowest score ever in golf? What is that one score you continue to talk about as your best round of golf ever? As you recount the round in your head right now, it is likely bringing a smile to you face.

I have several low rounds and these sub-par outings as fresh in my mind as the day I shot them. I have a number (3) of 69s, a half a dozen games shooting 70 or 71, and all are fresh. Do you remember yours? Continue reading

Change Focus Midstream During Your Round

Many discussions about the importance of focus while playing golf percolate every day on the internet. They outline how to mentally prepare or execute your game to always have a chance to shot your lowest score? But, I am not so confident that this unsolicited advice is really helping my game.

I try to play approximately 80 rounds of golf each season and focus is definitely a challenge during some of the rounds. There are various reasons for my focus challenges, yet it the grand scheme my lapses are minor. Sometimes, it is okay to change your focus during your round; it is a matter of choice. My Top 10 Golf Movies of All Time

I am a movie buff. I enjoy watching all kinds of movies. I do have my favorites and most of those do not follow any particular genre, however, I gain enjoyment from watching them repeatedly. As I was looking for a movie the other night, I came across a couple of golf movies and it started me wondering what were the all-time top 10 golf movies.

I watched many golf movies over the days and enjoyed them all. Each offered something unique to the viewer and, for the most part, did not disappoint. I realize this is a personal choice and after some research, these are the movies I have decided make my top 10 list. Continue reading
