I love the Christmas season. The winter wonderland, the sharing of happiness and joy, and spending time with the special people in my life. Although there is no golf, I will take the time to enjoy some outdoor activities, visiting, and being grateful. For me, it is also the time to give back to the community and to share some of my good fortune by donating to charities, the food bank, and just smiling at those I might encounter. As many of you know, I live in the great white north and golfing outdoors is not an option. Having said that, I do appreciate that many of The Grateful Golfer readers can and do golf over their winter.
T’Was The Night Before Christmas
As the anticipation grows for Christmas Day, it is easy to become wrapped up in the craziness of the holiday season. It is a time for fun, laughter, and good times for many. Luckily, I am one because I have a blessed life and find Christmas time enjoyable and refreshing.
For me, this is a time for reflection and gratitude for the blessings in my life. Each year, I am astounded by the sense of happiness when I spend time with family and friends. All I Want for Christmas….
With only 2 weeks until Christmas, many people are frantically running around to find that special something for the special people in their lives. This stressful aspect of the holidays can be fun for some and a source of pure dread for others. Personally, my wife and I solved this nut years ago and the next two weeks are going be spent hanging out and enjoying the beauty that mother nature has to offer.
