Focused Physical Training to Improve My Golf Game

Staying physically fit is important to life in general. It is something I identified early in my life and have adopted an active lifestyle to enjoy what comes my way. It has served me well and I as approach 60, I know it will be important in my ‘gold years’. However, over the past five years, I have also come to realize that my physical training routine needs to focus on the activities I want to do most to ensure I can participate at the level want moving forward. Even a Tortoise Wins A Race

We all know the story of the Tortoise and the Hare! If not, it is one of Aesop’s Fables and you can read about it here. I think about this story often when I peruse the golf news and see the hundreds (maybe millions) of guarantee fixes that will lower my golf score.

I read some of the claims, but can honestly say that I most do not even catch my attention. However, before you think today’s article will be a rant, it is not. Golf is a Journey of Failure

Golf is a journey of persistence is nothing new to most readers. As a player with over 40 years invested in the game, I can honestly say I have failed more times than succeeded. Of course, there has to be a benchmark for this statement and fortunately it is a standard set by each player. Through introspection, I set goals each year in attempts to provide a clear path to something achievable. If you are like most golfers, we are very particular about the “golf stuff” we receive. There is plenty of options, but each player has unique needs and requirements. As such, having a running golf list helps take the stress out of the giver’s life. This list helps others enjoy in milestones more because they know they will buy you something you want.
