Expectations Kill The Golf Experience

Are you a member of a golf course? Do you fork out which seems tons of money to play regularly at your local golf course? Canada is a golfing mecca that is often overlooked by many of the world travelers. “There are 34,011 golf facilities in the world. More than 18,600 of those facilities are located in 204 countries outside of the United States. Canada is home to 13% of that worldwide supply (excluding the U.S.), and is one of only seven countries with more than 500 golf facilities. Even when factoring in the United States, which has 15,372 facilities, Canada comprises 7% of the total world supply. While golf is certainly a worldwide game, supply remains largely concentrated among the most golf-developed nations. In fact, excluding the United States’ supply, 70% of all golf facilities are located in only 10 countries, and 85% of all facilities worldwide are located in 20 nations.” (Golf Canada Report 2015) This is great news for Canada, however can expectations of regular golfers have an affect on their golfing experience.

It is Time To Change

As the trees change colour and temperatures start to drop, it is time to make a change in my golf game. It is a yearly event that I look forward too because it offers me an increased in freedom of movement when looping the course. Yes, you guessed it, it is time to change from my push cart to my carry bag. Even though I am getting a bit older, I still enjoy carrying my clubs. I thought my big run of playing golf was over until I remembered that I have a 54 hole event coming up in 3 weeks. I have played in this event for years and I am looking forward to it again. It will be my last big event before the end of the season as things will start to wind down because fall is upon us. Chipping Tips That Improved My Golf Score

I am always on the lookout for any tip that will improve my golf score. It is important to open to new ideas in order to fully develop my game. However, I not flighty and will not change unless I am convinced it is for the better. Until recently, I considered my chipping from 25 yards or closer fairly solid. However, actually examining my success of getting up and down from that distance and realize I am not as sharp as I thought. It was time for a change to improve this area of my game. Continue reading
