Chipping Practice – Always Learning Something

Practice is the cornerstone to great golf. It allows everyone to try different methods of making different shots. Practice helps players iron out the kinks and create a repeatable swing under pressure. Practice helps players prepare to shoot low golf scores.

Golfing Mafia

How often do you plan a round of golf with friends? For many, they do not like playing with anyone else; it is their friends or nothing. Normally, this staunch approach to golf goes unnoticed by most in the golfing community.

Through the years, I was a member where a cadre of older players who rarely play with anyone but their friends seem to control the comings and goings at the course. Actually, these groups are like a little golfing mafia who set the tone for the entire course. Continue reading

Using My Favorite Wedge to Lower My Golf Score

I have discussed effectively using my wedges in may posts. However, I am in a bit of a quandary lately, all the wedges are working just great. I have 4 options in my bag every time I chip from within 25 yards of the green. I realize that the situation, location around the green, pin location and hazards will play in my decision. However, if I have a straight shot to the green with no sand traps or hazards in the way, I can choose any of my wedges to execute a successful shot. Continue reading
