Lock Wrists on Short Chips

For the past month I have used my DIY chipping mat in my basement. I thought I would get a jump start on my short game practice time this year and I find it very beneficial. I try to hit 100 balls a day, but sometimes that is a challenge. My repetitive practice has allowed me to identify some of chipping woes I developed last year and engineer a solution. Overall, I would say that my practice time is well worth the investment of time.

Does Weather Affect Your Golf Game?

After watching the final round of The Players Championship, it is easy to see that rain affects some players more than others. Of course playing in sunny, calm conditions is the ideal, however that is a rarity in northern climes. The wind is generally blowing; rain is not uncommon; and cold temperatures is a given. Yet, as an avid golfer the weather factor must be minimized in order to enjoy a round of golf.

What Does Your Golf Score Really Tell You?

Much discussion happens around a players golf score and what it really means. Usually the first question out of any golfer’s mouth was “what did you shoot?” Or they are asking others about the best players score, it appears that the score is the benchmark to measure all things in golf. Well, I can tell you that the numbers lie and do not really mean as much as we think. Sometimes we chase a lower golf score like a dog changes his tail with no real success.
