Learning A Golf Lesson From A Poor Round

One of my many experiences during my 37+ years in the Canadian Military was that no opportunity should be wasted to learn a lesson. Especially during an exercise when multiple things go wrong. One boss used to say that mistakes during an exercise are the perfect opportunity to improve. I carry this mindset into my daily life and definitely use it today whenever I hit the links.

Warming Up Before A Round Of Golf

Do you take the time to warm up before you round of golf? Or do you arrive moments before your tee time and rush to the first tee? The conditions must have been very friendly to scoring to have just under half the players shooting under par. Yesterday was atypical and all the movement reminded me of what should happen today – moving day!

It is a bland round and mentally, there is nothing you can do to prevent this mediocre round for unfolding any differently. It is as if you might as well as stayed home and cut the grass.
