Golf’s Greatest Asset: Hope!

Every golfer I know plays golf with a large smattering of hope in their bag. On many slightly wayward shots, they hope that their ball will take a fortuitus bounce and end up with a great lie. Hitting the ball in the woods also delves into the well of hope that first they find their ball and second, they have a shot. There are many other instances where hope plays a crucial roll in their game, but is it really a strategy the leads to lower golf scores. My response to that statement is yes and no!

Chipping/Putting Around The Green

There are a plethora of methods to strike a golf ball around the green. Anything within 10 feet of collar is a distance that affords so many choices, that many players become paralyzed. Or they only use one method regardless of the shot. I have lived all the spectrums of the above situation until I found a new way to hold my wedges/7 iron when playing close to the green. Hitting Hybrids Properly

Is there a standard method to hit a hybrid that every players should know? That question haunted me for some time until I realized that hitting hybrids is easier than I thought. Knowing what to look for is critical to ensuring solid contact and consistent results with our hybrids.

The only thing I had in my back pocket was to will my game in to success! I have had to fake it till I made it many times and will likely have to do that in the future as well. But, what exactly does this mean?

Aiming, Chipping and Ball Position: Are They Connected?

I talk about chipping to lower my score. Next to putting, I chip more than any other shot during my game. I thought that I had everything figured out and even offered some tips from my experience. I thought that I had everything covered until I came across a video that connected aiming to my chipping ball position. I might have thought about it and unconsciously adjust my aim accordingly, but I was surprised that I never talked about how my technique could affect my aim while chipping.
