It is interesting that golfers think that every shot should be a great. This unwavering believe in hope that each shot will result in magical things is absolute. Unfortunately, not every shot results in great things. Sometimes it is better to lucky than good. This happens countless times during a season and as a matter of fact, it happened twice on the same hole in my last round. Senior Men’s Ryder Cup – Leg Three
Monday past, I played in the third leg of the Senior Men’s Ryder Cup. Representing Osprey Links at our home course, our team felt confident that we could move up in the standings by winning our matches. Yesterday my 2021 golf season started anew. After 6 weeks of a delay, we were finally able to hit the links. The course was full all day, but you would never know it by how professionally the staff managed the tee time flow and how players respected the social distancing rules. The day was over cast, warm, and breezy; in other words it was the perfect day to resume golfing. Since yesterday felt like our first day on the links in 2021, I focused on one thing and one thing only: having fun.
Continue readingAdjusting To Changes To Our Golf Game
Golf is an evolutionary journey. Rarely does a persons game remain stagnant because each day offers something new that grabs our attention. Whether we do feel as physically capable or we mentally are tired, we need to make adjustments to our golf game on a daily basis. How about those days where we make an intended change; how does that affect our golf game. I have talked about the domino effect in previous posts and that is important to understand. However, when we make a change to our course management, does that add additional pressure to another, seemingly unintentional, aspect of our game?
