The Ghost of Golfing Past

We all know the story of Scrooge who was visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve. After examining his life, Scrooge realized it was not too late to change and have a positive impact on the lives of the people around him. Ultimately, improving his 3 foot space.

To improve my golf game, I need to follow the same general process. Take account of how my game from the past, the current state of my game, and what my future looks like if I do not change. The Grateful Golfer 2017 Golf Plan

My 2017 golf plan is ready and I think it will move much closer to my goal of being a scratch golfer. Unlike last year, I will have specific milestones to reach and timelines in ensure I stay focused throughout the year.

I am planning to use the same process as previous years because it works very well for my game. It is not complicated and helps me identify the areas I need/want to improve. Except, I am going to take it a step further. I found out last year that but not having quantifiable goals, I did not maximize the golfing opportunities. This year this is all going to change. Chipping Practice – Always Learning Something

Practice is the cornerstone to great golf. It allows everyone to try different methods of making different shots. Practice helps players iron out the kinks and create a repeatable swing under pressure. Practice helps players prepare to shoot low golf scores.

Two days ago, I hit the range to work on my ball striking and more importantly my short game. After hitting a large bucket of balls (which really did not help my game much) I headed to the chipping area. I was intent working on my weight distribution and ball position. Continue reading
