Steady Golf Wins The Day At Timberwolf Golf Course

Yesterday, I played in the second leg of the Senior Men’s Ryder Cup event in our region. Our second match was played at the fantastic course of Timberwolf Golf and Country Club. I have played this track a few times in the past and after yesterday’s round, I can say that I am never disappointed. It is the perfect mix of challenging tee shots, well place hazards, and undulating greens that make me think. My partner, Wes, and I played against a tough team from Timberwolf who played steady and unwavering golf. As they continued to rack up the Aggregate Match Play points, it was apparent to Wes and I that we had our hands full. However, never to backdown for a challenge, we teed it up with the expectation to making a game of it.

Rory McIlroy vs Tiger Woods – Was it Worth the Hype?

A long awaited head to head match between Rory McIlroy vs Tiger Woods happened yesterday at the Dell Technologies Match Play event at the Austin Country Club. Each made it out of their respective pools, but Rory was the more dominate of the players. His strong play has this season indicated that he was the favorite, but he was playing Tiger Woods. Therefore, nothing was certain or predictable in the lose a go home rounds.

Lefty Wins In Pebble Beach

Phil Mickelson has won his 44th PGA Tournament and 51st professional event of his career over the past weekend at Pebble Beach. At 48 years young, he has plenty of game left and demonstrated he still has the ability to compete with the young lions. I am a Mickelson fan; I always have been and I am glad to see that he is still racking up the wins.
