The Leader at The Ryder Cup

Every two years, one player stands above the rest. This player is on top of their game and easily defeats any challenger. Last year, Team USA’s big winner was Patrick Reed and Team Europe’s was Thomas Pieters. They both lead their respective teams with the most points and in the case of Reed, provided some fire sadly missing from previous USA teams. This year, Reed is back, but composition of the team is different and his antics might not fit this team. I guess we shall see soon enough; the real question remains of who is going to be the top player for Team USA and Team Europe. Continue reading

Ryder Cup Pairings

What is the real story behind the Ryder Cup pairings? There are no less that 1 million possible scenarios and probably 100 times more opinions on what Captains Furyk and Bjorn should do during the first two days. I have watched the Ryder Cup for years and I can say without a doubt that no matter how much brain power one puts into selecting a pairing, the results can never be determined. Peaking for the Ryder Cup

As an athlete, I have participated in many sports at all levels including national competitions. As I prepared for the final matches, regardless of the importance of the event, I tried to focus my training in order to peak at the right time. Being able to play my best when required had a direct and significant impact on the final results. The players preparing for the Ryder Cup next week are in the same boat. Who Will Be Selected As Golf’s Player of the Year in 2018

I always wondered how the selection process works for professional golf’s player of the year. It is a time- honoured tradition and at first I thought I understood the process. Apparently, there are two professional golfer’s player of the year award; one called PGA Player of the Year and the second called PGA Tour Player of the Year. Who knew? I guess I did, but never really paid that much attention. Did you know there were two awards?
