As expected the third round of the Masters was rain soaked. Except for an hour or so in the morning, the rain pelted all the players. Very few were able to handle the wet conditions because of the unknown factor of how the wetness would affect chipping and putting. For the most part, Augusta National held up very well until it was time to call for a rain delay. The leaders still have 12 holes to play on day 4 and as expected, they will be heading off early in order to finish this years Masters. The wet rainy weather is supposed to be gone by Sunday morning to be replaced with cool sunny skies. The change might help most of the players, but unless Brooks Koepka faulters, I do not see anyone catching my on Sunday afternoon.

Opening Day At The 2023 Masters
The day is finally here! The 2023 Masters starts very soon and all the hype will be replaced with great play. All the players will have to make a quick start for the opening day because the weather is going to degrade as the next four days unfold. That means that getting out a a quick start of 3 or 4 under would set anyone in the field up for a fantastic Masters. After a very fun and family par 3 contest yesterday, the players will now focus on hitting fairways and greens. But is that all they need to do shoot well?

As I sit and contemplate who is going to step up at this year’s Masters, I find it hard to focus because a tremendous freezing rain storm rages in my area. No this is not a metaphor for anything, my entire region is being pelted with freezing rain which will result in everything being encased by ice today. With the strength of Atlas, I will forge ahead with my top three picks for champion and one dark horse for the first Major of 2023.

For the first time in many years I am excited to watch this year’s Masters. I have decided to delve into the world of predictions as in years past. This year it should be very interesting considering the rift in professional golf. There seems to be a nonsense story trending about the PGA and LIV and I can guarantee you that this will be the last I will talk about it. I will however focus on the players and who I think will have a chance to take home the Green Jacket. Every golfer has a unique journey the is riddled with rough patches brushed over with outstanding results. It is the natural order of things there is only one way to play your best golf. Play golf like Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus or Bobby Jones; it is as simple as that. Obviously, this is an over simplification but if you can play like these legends then I tip my hat to your game. The problem that most golfers is that they try to play golf by aping a swing that they really cannot perform. I have followed that path myself until I learn a very import lesson that completely altered my approach and perspective of how to play my best golf!
