Most golfers are searching for the perfect golf swing. It is one of those elusive goals that never seems to diminish over the many years of playing. Over the past 10 years or so, many top level golfers have turned to the systematic approach to improving their swing. The reliance on numbers and statistics (on and off the course) drives many of the minor changes in a professional golfers swing. I do not see this changing anytime soon, but unfortunately the systematic approach may not be as beneficial to amateurs who have other stressors in their lives that prevents them from dedicating the time and money to finding their perfect golf swing. Fighting a Golf Injury
There is nothing worse than having a golf injury when your season is only 7 months long. There is a sense of urgency to try and play through the pain, but generally this is the wrong course of action. As I get older, I find that I have a few more aches and pains than before, but that is not what I am talking about. I mean actual injury where it impacts your golf swing and as such your entire game. This type of injury provides a mental dilemma that most golfers face from time to time.

I think it is only fair that I cover the Team USA final picks for the upcoming President’s Cup. I talked about Ernie Els Canadian pick, but this brilliant move is overshadowed in the media by Tiger Woods’ pick of himself! Yup, he will be a playing captain. This move is not unprecedented as he will join Hale Irwin (1994) as the only playing captains in the competition’s history. So, I wonder if this is a good choice?
