First, congratulations to Tiger Woods for matching Sam Snead’s 82 professional win record. It was a fantastic accomplishment that many players expected (or at least hoped) he would match before he hung up the sticks. Given his resurgence to the top of the leaderboard, he will likely exceed this feat in the next year or two. However, I was wondering if his continued winning ways garners the status as Superstar as it once did? Does Tiger Woods outshine the young stars or professional golf?

The Open 2019 – Day 2
Day Two at the Open was filled with some great action. Of the many topics, Rory McIlroy’s race to make the cut was one of the biggest. What a Cinderella story that would have been. However, he is watching this weekend along with many other great players; that is the way of a Major. But fear not, there are many great players creeping their way to the top and Moving Day will be very interesting.

The 2019 PGA Championship is set at the beautiful Bethpage Black Course in New York. By all accounts the course is in fantastic condition and temperatures will be in the low 60s with a chance of rain on Friday. Additionally, the Black Course will be a par 70 measuring 7465 yards. The slope will is 155 and the rating is 77.5. This is a monster of course and contribute to higher scores in the field this week and only those players with length and accuracy will be able to stand up to the very challenging conditions. So, keeping this in mind, lets predict the winner of the 2019 PGA Championship.

The second Major of 2019 commences tomorrow and I am excited to see how the professions are going to react to the new schedule of front loading the new season with Majors. All the top players are aware of beast the resides within New York’s Bethpage Black course and will take nothing for granted. With the top players all in attendance (except Justin Thomas), it can be anyone’s tournament; even Jordan Spieth!
