Virtually every round of golf I play I realize how little I know about golf. There is always something that requires my attention in order to improve my score. And my round yesterday was no different. Every approach shot with my wedges went left. I did not have this problem for a long time, but alas it reared its ugly head again. My distance was fine, but I missed every green left. I am not sure why but I have a good idea. My approach leads me to ask the following: do you self-analyze your golf swing during your game?

Chipping Tip From Rory McIlroy
As I research possible golf shots I would like to incorporate into my game, I sometimes come across a shot I kind of have, but need to improve. This is the case with a chipping tip from Rory McIlroy. The ‘one hop stop’ short chip shot is something I work on through the course of my golf season. I find this shot very useful and often wonder why my percentage of success is much lower than I want or expect. Well, I found out why thanks to a short video by Rory.

I have developed a small hitch in my swing were a majority of my wedges end up left of the target. I especially find this if I try to squeeze a few extra yards out of the any of the clubs. At this time, I am not sure if it is an alignment, grip, or swing issue. I will be heading to the range today to find out what is going on. This is an normal step in playing great golf during the season and I recommend it to all amateur golfers.
