Winter Golf

Winter golf is really not a option where I live. As I am writing this article, it is minus 17° Celsius (1° F), 2 feet of snow on the ground, but really sunny. This is typical weather for this time of year, so winter golf is really not an option. However, I found this article that fits perfectly for the early spring and late fall. Fall Golf Is Upon Us

As the summer transitions to fall, I need to take steps to be prepared for the change in weather and course conditions. As it turns out for the next two weeks, we are going to experience an average daily temperature of 18° C (65° F). This means lots of dew in the morning, less carry because it is cooler, and less touch when chipping because my ball will be harder. Fear not, I am used to this time of year and have a fail proof plan!

Hitting Ball In Wet Conditions

My last 27 holes of golf were in very wet conditions. Because of this, I had go adjust many things about my game. This is not an unusual occurrence and is that happens several times throughout the year. Because of these changes (which I will outline below), my course management strategy needs tweaking and so does my swing plane.
