As a golfer, creating a handicap index is the a fundamental process important to your game improvement. I realize much of the local golfing industry has moved away from supporting a handicap index by the format of their tournaments. Who needs a handicap if you never plan to compete in events that require one. That is a topic worth pursuing in the future. However, today is a simple knowledge question of how often do you think you shoot your handicap…..if you had one?

Are You Struggling To Lower you Handicap Index?

Our official handicap index is something that many golfers use as their benchmark for success. It helps establish a baseline from which players can focus their game to lower their overall golf scores. With the new world handicap system, lowering your handicap index will be even more of a struggle….I think. I am actually still trying to wrap my head around the new system, so more to follow on that. Regardless, I find it a struggle to lower my index most years and I am sure you are too!

Golf Canada and The World Handicap System

Yesterday, I posted an update on the World Handicap System (WHS). As stated, I sent an email to Golf Canada for an update on their involvement in the development of this potentially beneficial method of equalizing golf world-wide. I received an answer today.
